Terms of Service
Cohara AI Inc. | Version 2.0 | Effective April 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cohara, operated by Cohara AI Inc. By creating an account or accepting an invitation to join a family network, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and User Types
1a. Primary Account Holder (Family Account Owner)
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Cohara account. By registering, you confirm that you are an adult aged 18 or older, that you are the parent or legal guardian with authority to provide information about the children in your account, and that you take responsibility for the accuracy of that information and the appropriateness of the adults you invite into your network. You should only upload or share information you are authorized to disclose.
1b. Invited Network Participants
Cohara supports inviting other adults — co-parents, teachers, therapists, tutors, and caregivers — to participate in a family network at the Primary Account Holder’s discretion. Invited participants must be at least 18 years old, access Cohara solely as a participant in a specific family network, and agree to these Terms upon accepting an invitation.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at privacy@cohara.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. What Cohara Does
Cohara is an AI-assisted support platform for parents. It helps you organize information about your children, generate action plans, and coordinate with the adults in your child’s support network. Cohara is a decision-support tool — it does not replace professional medical, therapeutic, educational, or legal advice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false information about yourself or your children
- Upload or share information you are not authorized to disclose
- Use Cohara for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another family’s account or data
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the platform
- Use Cohara in any way that could harm a child
5. Your Content
You own the information you upload to Cohara. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to process and store it solely to provide the services you requested. We do not claim ownership of your data.
6. Network Member Obligations
When invited to a family network, you agree to the following obligations, which survive the termination of your network access:
- Purpose limitation: Access family information only for the purpose authorized by the Primary Account Holder, only within the Cohara platform.
- No onward sharing: Do not share, forward, export, or disclose any information from the network to any person or system outside Cohara without the Primary Account Holder’s explicit authorization.
- No redisclosure: Do not use information accessed through Cohara for any purpose unrelated to supporting the specific child or family for whom you were invited.
- No sub-invitations: Only the Primary Account Holder may manage network membership.
- Access ends on revocation: The Primary Account Holder may revoke your access at any time. Revocation ends future platform access immediately; it does not retroactively erase information you already lawfully viewed before revocation.
7. AI-Generated Content
Cohara uses AI to generate action plans, summaries, and suggestions based on information you provide. This content is intended to support your decision-making — not replace it. AI-generated content may contain errors. Always apply your own judgment, especially for decisions affecting your child’s health, education, or safety.
8. Pilot Program Scope
Cohara is currently operating in a limited pilot phase as a consumer product for parents. It is not offered as an institutional tool for schools, healthcare systems, or therapeutic practices. Pilot participants agree not to use Cohara as a mechanism for institutional data sharing subject to FERPA, HIPAA, or equivalent frameworks. If your use case involves institutional data obligations, contact us before proceeding.
9. Platform Development
Cohara is an actively developed platform. Features may change, be added, or refined over time. We are committed to notifying users of material changes and to maintaining the security and integrity of your data throughout.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data Rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Cohara is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information in the platform.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cohara AI Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
14. Changes to These Terms
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
